Page Rank Saga

I would like to start the discussion about the Page Rank.

Page Rank is a report card or score card of the Internet by Google. Whether you like it or not, it is your score. If you want to stand out from the crowd, get a high PR.

You may have a better or same content in your page than your competitor however he may be more successful than you because of his PR and traffic flow. In fact, you need to understand about the algorithm or mechanism of the PR in order to bet your competitor.

Some Geek said Page Rank in not important because they didn’t have a good PR.

Isn’t that simple?

If you think Page Rank is not important, don’t read this blog and go away.

This blog is designed only for how to improve your page rank significantly.

Well, what is a Page Rank anyway?

Page rank From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Page rank From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Page Rank is a link analysis algorithm, named after Larry Page, used by the Google Internet search engine that assigns a numerical weighting to each element of a hyperlinked set of documents, such as the World Wide Web, with the purpose of “measuring” its relative importance within the set.

If Page Rank in not important why would Wikipedia pay attention about the PR.

Wow.. Confusing. Not everybody is a rocket scientist duke.

Just tell me simple likes a dummy.

pagerank

When a rich guy(green) wants to link you(blue), you have a good page rank.

When many rich guys(many green)  want to link you(blue), you have a very good page rank.

Of course, You(Blue) should be linked to high PR directories like Yahoo, dmoz and botw (Mr. Yellow). Hi Mr. Poor Geek, you have no places here. Just leave us alone. Well, it’s a win win situation. All you have to do is just participate with the system that work.

When a poor geek want to link you, you page rank doesn’t effect anything.

Discrimating…yes.. It is a nature.

As a matter of fact, many poor geeks said page rank is “NOT” important because they don’t have any such a good contents in their pages.

Well, what is a Page Rank algorithm?

The PageRank algorithm is in fact elegantly simple and is calculated as follows:
PR equation
where PR(A) is the PageRank of a page A
PR(Tn) is the PageRank of a page Tn
C(Tn) is the number of outgoing links from the page Tn
d is a damping factor in the range 0 < d < 1, usually set to 0.85

As I mentioned, If you think Page Rank is not important, don’t waste your time in this blog and go away.

Let me continue….

According to the PR algorithm, if you want to increase your page rank.
1. You must increase n that is you need many inbound link to your page. If you don’t have a good content who the hell is going to link you so that you need to create a good content in your page.

Find something that nobody has it before.

Hi. Mr. Poor Geek, don’t be upset about what I said, find and submit your site to the directories. that will increase your n.

2. Well, submitting High PR directory will be great. If you have budget, it is worth to spend in high PR directories. Even zero PR directories are OK because once zero PR site becomes some PR you will get some benefit. In general, every inbound links is welcome.

It should be noted that even tho we welcome every inbound links, if inbound link have many out bound links included in their page, we don’t get significant effect on our PR because of high value of C(Tn) according to the above algorithm.

Confusing a bit …. Just forget it. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist in order to increase your Page Rank.

Why directories are important in Page Rank?

One of the reasons is that you don’t have a very good content or you are not able to update your content regularly that is why directories play an important role in Internet.

In general, you look likes this.

you
You may have some inbound links.

and Directory look likes that,

dir

Of course, directory have many outbound links unless that is a link Exchange directory. As a matter of fact, if you submit to many non-zero PR directories, you site PR will be getting higher in the long term. Even zero PR directories will be good for a long term.

Why blogs are important in Page Rank too?

The blog also plays an important role in PR however you have to participate in the discussion (careful discussion) in the blog in order to get PR. Comment likes “keep up your good job” and “great post” won’t do any better. Be knowledgeable. The weakness of the blog is that the corresponding page will be moved to somewhere base on the time limit.

I think that G-Lock Blog Finder (free edition) will be a good choice to track compatible blog for your web site. Note: I am not endorsing the software. As long as you trace for 50 blogs, you don’t have to pay anything.

A reciprocal link!

reciprocal

According to the definition of Webopedia “A reciprocal link is an agreement between two webmasters to provide a hyperlink within their own website to each other’s web site.”

True Reciprocal Link is a win-win situation however it it very hard to implement.

Three way linking

diogram

Three way linking (siteA ⇒ siteB ⇒ siteC ⇒ siteA) is a special type of reciprocal linking. The attempt of this link building method is to create more “natural” links in the eyes of search engines. The value of links by three-way linking can then be better than normal reciprocal links, which are usually done between two domains.

One of the interesting questions about the PR is that
How often does Google Update PR?

Well.. Only Google knows about it however it is worth to check at Google Dancing pages.

PR Analysis
Since the maximum achievable PR is 10 (such as Google), the PR algorithm becomes

PRachieve
Suppose if damping factor be 0.85, the PR extreme limit will be,

PRlimit
If your pages have no outbound link, you becomes the SINK (in physics).

Dipole_field

Moreover, If your page have infinite outbound links, you becomes the SOURCE (in physics). Of course this is an extreme case. Search Engines such as Google (Google, Yahoo, etc. are mother of all directories) and all directories are the source and we are a more or less sink. Of course we can not survive without the source.

How to defined the quality page(not a bad page)?

I would guess that most webmasters prefer their pages about PR 4 and above for all pages. In general most good page has about 200+ inbound links. Some inbound links may be good however many inbound links may be bad. Assume that you have a 100 good inbound links in particular page, the constrain becomes,

PRachieve45

Combining the both cases, we have the universal limit,
PRachieve11588

High PR directories are very good sources for all of us because they are sharing their PR to us that is why they are very successful in Internet such as Yahoo, Open Directory, and Btow. They are fertilizer of the young web.

However most of the directories are not successful because they themselves not able to increase their PR because they are the sources. If you are the successful source, in other words, you run a directory, you have to have a high PR. That is why link exchange plays an impotent role in the directory mechanism.

  1. Dear Author seonerd.wordpress.com !
I am final, I am sorry, but it does not approach me. There are other variants?

  2. Seems like you are a true pro. Did ya study about the matter? haha..

  3. If you are a genus, what the hell your blog has ZERO PR.

    • seonerd Says:

Of course not. I’d just started my blog a few days ago. I am running 12+ sites and all my sites PR range between 2 to 7. Most of my PR 2 sites are only 6 months old. I just wanted to share my experience to others who wants to increase their PR subject to little or no cost. Thanks!

  4. One of the good strategies to increase your PR is that submit your site to many non-zero PR directory as many as possible or hire a “High PR Directory Submission Services” and participate in many non-zero PR blog as many as possible.

If you run your own directory, try to get PR at least one or more to have appreciable effects for submitter.
